Author Wendy R. Eugene

“Storms rage in all of our lives. Some come with advance warning allowing us to take cover and prepare our surroundings, make necessary arrangements for family, gather precious heirlooms and head for higher ground. But what happens when storms erupt unexpectedly? What do you do, where do you go when there is nowhere to run, nowhere to hide? I found myself in that very situation many times, nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. Do I give up from weariness or surrender willingly to God to steer me through the storms of my life with grace? I wondered many times if it was possible to find joy in living as I navigated in my life’s seemingly endless storms.

Neh 8:10 (ESV) says, “This is a sacred day before our Lord. Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!”

It is my prayer that as you read my journey you find inspiration and strength to stand firm in your faith when storms erupt in your life, and you too can say, “Who’s having more fun than Me?”
